Admin and Marketing Assistant (Position now closed)

We are looking for a fun, creative, caring and efficient new member to join the Andrew Curphey Theatre Company team. We are looking for someone with admin and marketing experience. The role will be part-time on a self-employed basis.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responding to company enquiries through the website, email, phone, and social media.

  • Managing the booking system for all sessions, workshops, classes and events.

  • Maintaining the mailing list and sending out mail-outs and newsletters.

  • Overseeing the business’ calendar of events and booking appointments.

  • Assisting with events including venue-booking and production management.

  • Organise chaperones, licenses and understand all relevant legislation regarding children in entertainment.

  • Organising staff timetabling, invoices and holidays.

  • Creating and posting content for social media to promote Andrew Curphey Theatre Company and success stories.

 

Essential Experience:

  • Have some experience in administration and promotion for a business and/or events.

  • Confident in Word, Excel, Goggle Workspace, and writing emails and social media content.

  • Basic design/layout skills for creating visual newsletters and social posts.

 

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with a social media scheduling app, ClassForKids and Canva.

  • Experience in web updates for example using Wix.

  • Experience with a theatre company/stage school setting.

 

Person Specification:

  • Fun, creative, kind and caring personality

  • Enjoys working autonomously but also as part of a team.

  • Interested in the arts and performance.

  • Enjoys being part of a dynamic community, friendly and helpful to customers and enquirers.

  • Experienced in administration and interested in helping a small business run smoothly.

 

Hours and Pay:

  • The post is for 10 hours per week. A Monday morning is essential,  we do have some flexibility with other days/hours.

  • The successful applicant should be happy to work remotely – but available for meetings locally where needed and for some in-person events where available.

  • £14 per hour.
