Andrew has worked extensively delivering theatre workshops and performing for over 18 years. He has been able to develop himself as a committed theatre practitioner, performer and entertainer.

Over the past ten years he has created and continues to manage and direct the hugely successful Andrew Curphey Theatre Company. With more than 230+ children and young people enrolled across evening classes in various towns across Cheshire. Each year the company produce various showcases and musical productions that are staged at The Brindley Theatre. Also, as a qualified teacher he delivers drama/theatre workshops in many schools and colleges.

Most recently Andrew was honoured to be commissioned by Halton Borough Council and the Mersey Gateway to create and direct a performance piece that was presented to Her Majesty the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex to celebrate the official opening of the Mersey Gateway bridge. Andrew was able to meet and have a conversation with Her Majesty and the Duchess. They discussed the project and they mentioned how humbled they were by the performance.

Andrew’s most recent theatre credits include a series of sold out one man shows ‘A Mic, Music & Me’. ‘Chester the Jester’ in Sleeping Beauty, ‘French Franc’ in Beauty and the Beast at the Brindley Theatre, ‘Jack’ in Jack and the Beanstalk at The Albert Halls Bolton. Andrew will be returning to the Brindley Theatre for Christmas 2019 to play the role of Muddles in Snow White. The production will be produced by New Pantomime Productions. Tickets are available directly from the Brindley Theatre.

Andrew says "My teaching and learning centres around the notion that children and young people are provided with a safe environment to develop and learn. They are given a platform to be who they are, showcase their talents, and encourage their confidence. The essence of the company has always been, and will forever be, that all of the children and young people have fun and create life long memories".

'Dancing Debbie' has been dancing since the age of 5 and is absolutely thrilled to have turned her passion into a career. Over the years Debbie has had many experiences that have helped shape her in to the dancer and teacher that she is today. Her experiences include performing in many local productions such as in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ at The Brindley Theatre, where she played the principle role of ‘Alice’.

In 2012 Debbie graduated from Edge Hill University with a BA hons in Dance and most recently graduated as a qualified teacher. Being able to promote dance and help children and young people develop their own skills gives her huge satisfaction. Debbie is trained in many styles such as: contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet and modern. All these styles are promoted in her teaching and learning.

Debbie is thrilled to be celebrating her 6th year as part of the ACTC team.

Molly was one of our original students who joined ACTC when it first opened in 2008. Molly was a member of both of our Children’s and Youth Theatre classes for 8 years.

Whilst developing her performance skills with ACTC Molly realised that she also had an interest in the production aspects of theatre. Molly went on to study creative media production. Whilst studying Molly started to discover her talent for photography and this has led to professional opportunities (ACTC’s official photographer, The Catholic Pictorial - photography in Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral & The Brindley Theatre Pantomime Promotion 2018).

In 2017 after finishing her studies, Molly embarked on a gap year and volunteered for the Animate Youth Ministry team based in Lowe House, St. Helens. Whilst on the Animate team she worked with over 12,000 young people. Molly says this was a valuable experience and helped with her professional development as a workshop practitioner.

Molly re-joined ACTC in October 2018 but this time as a member of staff. She is so excited to be able to pass on all of her experiences so far to the next generation of ACTC students.
